rc helicoptersFlying an RC helicopter is a difficult task, one that requires hours of concentration and practice even when it comes to the most basic maneuvers. While caution and gradual experimentation will minimize your risk of damaging the aircraft, it's important to anticipate a crash by learning how to perform simple repairs. Knowing how to fix your helicopter will hone your knowledge of the aircraft, while saving you money in the event of a crash.
Instructions
1
Remove broken blades with an Allen wrench or screwdriver by unscrewing the fasteners. Install your replacement blade into the mounting bracket, then tighten it closed with the screws. Be careful not to over-tighten, since this may crack the new blade.
2
Adjust the trim settings if your helicopter spins uncontrollably after an accident. Correct a counter-clockwise spin by clicking the trim adjustment for the rudder to the left; push it to the right to compensate for clockwise rotation. Apply a gentle pressure to the blades with the pliers if the trimming doesn't correct the issue. Bend the back edge of the top blade to correct a clockwise spin, or the bottom blade to compensate for a counter-clockwise rotation.
3
Move the rotor shaft up and down to adjust loosened gear mesh. If the rotor shaft doesn't move, tighten the shaft by placing the base of the motor shaft, then gently pushing down the top of the main gears. Don't over-tighten the rotor shaft, since this will cause it to stick.

Operating RC helicopters is an awesome hobby, which can bring with fun and happy hours. But to become a truly good RC helicopter controller, you should continue the practice and do best to train to have a steady hand. Also, how to select a suitable RC helicopter is a hard subject to tackle, for some of the RC helicopters feature a RTF (ready to fly) label while others do not. They need installations.

Old and experienced helicopter players can easily tell the distinctions between every type. But for a novice, it will be hard. Thus, today I want to provide explanations of some types of the alloy RC helicopter model available. Hope that I will help you.

1. RTFs
The first type I want to talk about is RTF model. RTF, referring to ready to play, is a really easy and great starting model for a novice. As there is no need to settle the setting-up process, this type of models can go up to the sky once they are unsealed. Of course, there are always some exceptions. Some still need the necessary assembly and tuning. Make it clear before you buy.
2. Coaxial RC helicopter
RTFs are normally for new players, but for the enthusiasts as well as old players, coaxial helicopters are more suitable. Different surroundings are usually not able to threaten their performances as they have absolute stability.
Aspiring players love the style of the collective pitch because of its quickness, fast speed and special designs for experienced players. Such a set of operating keys is a big advantage but also a disadvantage. It needs good maintenance, or it will be readily damaged. Besides, flyers should spend more time in practicing and learning. It is a great test to check whether you are a novice or a veteran. By the way, I recommend the fixed pitch for new beginners for it does not have so many moving parts.
Almost every RC controller boasts two sticks. The left one is for the control of throttle and yaw. Yaw refers to the left as well as right movement you can make. If you want to drive up your helicopter, you should move the control stick up so that the blade speed will increase. How about the right stick? It is for cyclic controls or pitches and roll movements. If you slowly push it, the helicopter will follow the guidance and tilt little by little and finally fly forward. So, at this moment, the beautiful reverse will occur if you pull the control stick backwards.

The way to become a master is long. At first, you need to figure out every function of sticks. Do not stop simple practices until you fully master the basic moves. Then, try one or two complex moves and build up your confidence. Further, you can try more difficult tricks and test your skill! This process will be time-consuming but interesting.

Razoyo RC is excited to announce the launch of their new how-to video library to make it easy for RC enthusiasts to search videos about how to get started, install parts, general maintenance, and fixing common problems. The US-based team @RazoyoRC is also available via chat or by phone to answer questions as fast as possible.
“When you have an idea for a customization to your RC car or truck, you don’t want to spend half the day looking for a how-to video or article,” says William Byrne, Razoyo RC Founder. “And that’s why we created the RC Video Library. So you, our RC enthusiasts, can find exactly what you need to be able to get the job done right the first time.”
Getting started videos include instructions about how to set-up a nitro vehicle and adjust the carburetor. When setting up a nitro vehicle, every hobbyist needs to know which tools to use and the basic components of the vehicle. Before the first run of the RC vehicle, it will need batteries installed, antenna installed, air filter rc airplane oil applied and loctite on the metal screws. The final step in getting the newly purchased RC car off the starting line is to properly break-in the engine and adjust the carburetor.
Installation of parts can be tricky, and consulting the how-to videos is a sure-fire way to get it right the first time. The Redcat models Volcano T2 Landslide, LT Landslide, and 21 Sandstorm require a 2 speed sealed transmission installation. This set of videos also includes a common RC car modification of replacing the pull start with an electric starter. And of course, it’s always nice to have a little more power, so check out the video of installing a new Glow Plug to the Shockwave RC Buggy.
RC cars don’t get tune-ups at the local shop, the maintenance is done by the ever-learning RC buff through free information like these videos. There is a whole section on typical maintenance jobs of how to adjust brakes, front wheel alignment, and shifting time on 2 speed transmissions. Sometimes the maintenance gets a little dirty and there are even videos on how to clean a dirty or jammed carburetor. Other topics covered in this section explain gear mesh, engine tuning, and high or low speed needles.
The last group of videos in the library deal with how to fix common problems. If the pull start on the RC car breaks or floods the engine then all the excitement of RC cars suddenly comes to a screeching halt. This section of videos covers everything necessary to fix a pull start and get that car racing again. Other videos cover removing a nitro engine, clutch, and rebuilding the clutch.
Plus if the customization, maintenance, or fixes require additional parts or accessories, simply use the custom catalog search to find exactly the right spare parts and accessories to complete the upgrade. The RC team offers a wide variety of accessories including stickers, gear parts, batteries and engines. Check out Razoyo RC this holiday season for an assortment of RC products, accessories, and spare parts plus superior customer service.
